JohnnyCash.Com Radio Launch
Monday June 11, 7:29 pm ET

CORONA, Calif., June 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Bill Miller of the Official Johnny Cash Web Site, http://www.johnnycash.com announced today that JohnnyCash.Com Radio, a streaming weekly broadcast featuring interviews with Cash family members, associates, friends and fans will debut on Wednesday, June 13.

In addition to the intimate interviews, each one hour broadcast will feature discussions of Johnny Cash's nearly five-decade long career, music, sound bites from the Man In Black himself, interactive contests and more.

"We've operated JohnnyCash.Com for nearly eleven years and decided that it was time to take the already technically cutting-edge site and bring it to the next level," said Miller. "The site attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each month and we want to keep the experience fresh and relevant despite the fact that Johnny passed away four years ago this coming September."

The debut program will feature Johnny and June Carter Cash's son, John Carter Cash, who will discuss his new book Anchored in Love: An Intimate Portrait of June Carter Cash, which chronicles the struggles and triumphs his parents experienced during their careers and marriage. "It's a revealing story of two people who loved each other deeply, overcoming the adversities and pain among triumphs and stellar careers along the way," Miller said.

The programs will stream from the Cash web site and will be archived for later listening as well, according to Miller.

"Few entertainers enjoyed the magnificent and legendary career Johnny Cash did," said Miller, "and we intend to continue to let the world know just what kind of human being Johnny Cash was. His music continues to reach legions of new fans, from preteens to people into their eighties and beyond. The demand for Johnny Cash continues to build as a result of interest and awareness from the biopic Walk the Line as well as recordings which continue to be released, many made just weeks before Johnny passed away."

Miller, a longtime fan who eventually became a close friend of the Cash's, authored the critically acclaimed 2004 Simon & Schuster book Cash An American Man. He first met the entertainer when he was just 12 years old and began a friendship which lasted over 30 years. "I will never forget the kindness and inspiration he displayed throughout the time I knew him. This latest venture is part of an ongoing tribute to my dear friend and hero."
